It seems like Filipino DJ and TV host Mo Twister is not gonna issue an apology (before Holy Week ends) to Korean boy band U-Kiss after his Twitter comment last March 28 sounded offensive to the K-pop group and its fans.
If DJ Mo s remark last Sunday was they look like lesbians , now (just last night) DJ Mo has changed his comment to they look like my lesbian aunt .
U-Kiss was the special guest during the premiere of Party Pilipinas on GMA 7 last March 28. And the controversy started when DJ Mo, an active Twitter user, was caught posting these tweets that day:
I m sorry all you k-pop fans but you can t tell me that s a heterosexual man. You just can t. I stand corrected, these k-pop guys don t look gay, they look like lesbians.
For U-Kiss fans, those tweets were offensive and they quickly demanded for an apology from DJ Mo, who s always been known in Philippine showbiz as brutally frank. They even made a Facebook fan page called KPOP FANS DEMAND FOR PUBLIC APOLOGY FROM MO TWISTER which as I write this now has 3,433 fans.
Anthony Eusebio, father of U-Kiss member Alexander Lee Eusebio, also made a direct message to DJ Mo on Twitter last night: If you think this is a good opportunity of making yourself popular, you re right but surely you re risking your job too. Your comments on my Boys are ridiculously improfessional and naive! I demand an APOLOGY from you!
But on his later tweets, he appealed to K-pop fans not to send bad comments to DJ Mo and just forgive him and leave it all to God.
Responding to numerous bad comments, DJ Mo, who is vacationing in Paris now, made a new comment last night. He tweets, Some UKiss fans are upset I said they looked like lesbians. What s wrong with that? I like lesbians. My aunt is lesbian. They look like my aunt.
One angry fan quickly replied to DJ Mo s tweet: Don t ever COMPARE U-KISS to your LESBIAN AUNT! What s wrong with that? Simple, it s because they re so DIFFERENT since BIRTH! Get it?
