Bb. Pilipinas 2011 Candidate #7 Roxanne Cabanero has denied that she's the woman in the alleged photo scandal found on a p0rn site then later on various pageant fora and blogs.
Roxanne Cabañero is officially out of the Binibining Pilipinas 2011 pageant just because of those scandal photos, but according to her on TV Patrol last night, the woman in the photos is not her and in fact, she was the one who reported about it to Binibining Pilipinas Charities, Inc. (BPCI).
Mykiru already blogged about Roxanne's disqualification from the pageant a few days ago, but what actually happened was, according to
Roxanne, she was asked to resign from the pageant by BPCI, even if she denied the photo scandal and the BPCI hasn't proven yet that she's indeed the one in the racy pics.
Now, Roxanne is seeking help from the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) to track down who started linking her name to that scandalous photos and caused her to resign from the Binibining Pilipinas 2011 pageant.
There may be truth to Roxanne's claim because the p0rn site where the photos originally came from labeled the woman as Petite Filipina Raina and in another site, probably its sister site, it says that she's Raina from Thailand.
Therefore, it's possible that the lady is just a lookalike of Roxanne. (And also, she got smaller breasts than Roxanne.)
BPCI has also released an official statement with regards to the issue. "Binibining Pilipinas is governed by stringent rules and policies that are acceptable internationally. We strive to be very thorough in our screening but when violations or misinterpretations albeit deliberate or not unravel, we call the candidates’ attention to the matter. BPCI is apparently averse in further discussing the matter. We are hoping that all speculations regarding this incident will cease as BPCI is not inclined to delve into the issue any further in order to preserve the integrity of the pageant and the reputation of the concerned parties."
The mere fact that BPCI asked Roxanne to resign could mean that the organization believes that she's the woman in the picture.
Roxanne told TV Patrol that she found BPCI's decision unfair. "Sana naman konsiderasyon na matagal ko ring pinangarap 'to and then it's not easy to go into this process, ang pumasok sa Binibini. Ang sakit."
