Miss World 2012 Disappointing Results

Miss World 2012 winner has been crowned in China, and she happens to be the host candidate, Wen Xia Yu (or Wenxia Yu).
Miss China Wenxia Yu, 23, was crowned Miss World 2012 winner, beating 115 other lovely candidates. (Miss World 2012 Official Results Here.)
Sounds good, but not to most pageant followers.
It's actually not surprising that it can happen in China, 'coz it already happened 5 years ago, when Miss China Zhang Zilin won the Miss World 2007 title at home.
However, unlike Zhang Zilin's victory (which was highly favorable), Wenxia Yu being crowned as Miss World 2012 is a disappointing one, or generally not favorable to most of the pageant fans, probably for the simple reason that there were other more deserving candidates for the title. A Top 7 finish for her probably was already enough.
I think Miss South Sudan Atong Demach, who finished 4th and was her country's first Miss World candidate, could have been a "more favorable" winner than Miss China. Who agrees with me?
It was also a surprise that Miss China won in the Miss World Talent challenge event, heavily favored over Miss Philippines Queenierich Rehman who wowed the world with her beatboxing skills.
