The great tenor Luciano Pavarotti dies at 71

Italian tenor Lucanio Pavarotti died of pancreatic cancer on September 6, 2007 at his hometown/residence in Modena, Italy.
Pavarotti, whose last musical appearance was when he sang "Nessun Dorma" at the Winter Olympics Opening Ceremony in Turin, Italy last February of 2006, battled with the disease for over a year and had been hospitalized for two weeks just last month.
Last September 05, he was reported to be unconscious and his kidneys were not functioning.
Pavarotti was 71.
