Rustom and Piolo fight for a Luna Best Actor nomination

The Film Academy of the Philippines has finally reviewed the Filipino movies shown in 2006, and for now, the 25-year old award-giving body has already come up with its Top 10 list, where the final list of nominees for the upcoming Luna Awards 2007 will be chosen.For the Best Actor category, brothers Robin and Rustom Padilla for the movies 'Til I Met You and Zsa Zsa Zaturnah respectively are shortlisted along with potential nominees like Piolo Pascual (Don't Give Up On Us), John Lloyd Cruz (All About Love/Close To You), Cesar Montano (Ligalig), Eddie Garcia (I Wanna Be Happy) and Sid Lucero (Donsol). URIAN 2007 Best Actor awardee Mark Gil (Rotonda) and PMPC Star Awards 2007 winner Jericho Rosales (Pacquiao: The Movie) are not on the list.
As for the Best Actress, consistent nominees this year like Gina Pareño (Kubrador), Maricel Soriano (Inang Yaya) and Judy Ann Santos (Kasal, Kasali, Kasalo) are up against each other again and these three are believed to be as sure nominees for the Luna Awards. Claudine Barretto (Sukob) and Angel Aquino (Donsol) is also on the Top 10 list, and could steal away from the other 9 finalists the chance of being nominated.
URIAN 2007 Best Supporting Actor Rafael Rosell (Rome & Juliet) has another chance to be nominated and possibly win an award as he is cited in the Top 10 for the Best Supporting category.
