Miss Earth 2007 candidates in their National Costumes
Miss Italy Bernadette Mazu pose on stage during the Miss Earth 2007 National Costume Presentation held Wednesday night, November 07, 2007, at the "Clamshell" or the Philippine Tourism Authority Tent, Intramuros, Manila, Philippines.
The Philippine Tourism Authority bestowed the Eco-Tourism Award to Miss Cuba Ariana Barouk who took home a cash prize of $200 or approximately P10,000 and a special trip for 2 in a beautiful Philippine island.

During the past six years, Korea has won the Best in National Costume Awards twice, in 2002 and in 2005. The winner for this year's Best in National Costume will be announced on the finals night, November 11, 2007.

*A pageant fan gave Miss Ukraine Galyna Andreeva a miniature jeepney car as a form of appreciation, which I think, the best gift a Miss Earth candidate could ever receive.
*On a sad note, ABS-CBN News reports that the bus with Miss Earth bets ran over a 19-year old girl during their trip from Batangas to Camarines Sur. According to the report, Miss Earth candidates were all asleep during the accident thus unaware of what happened.
