For the second consecutive year, The University of the Philippines Pep Squad was declared champion in the 2008 Samsung UAAP Cheerdance Competition Sunday, September 7, 2008 at the Araneta Coliseum.Tribo UP: Sugod was their theme and led them to grab their 5th cheerdance championship title.
The team won a trophy and a cash prize of P195,000.
Comparing this year's results to last year, the ranking of the participating universities remains unchanged.
