100 Greatest Singers of All Time

The world's Queen of Soul Aretha Franklin, who made hits such as (You Made Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman, Respect, Bridge Over Troubled Water and many other during the 60's and the 70's, has been named the "Greatest Singer of All Time" by the Rolling Stone Magazine.
According to Grammy-winning singer Mary J. Blige, who is also one of the 100 Greatest Singers and the writer of the special feature about Franklin, the Queen of Soul is a force from heaven, God-given and the very reason why women want to sing.
"Aretha has everything — the power, the technique. She is honest with everything she says. Everything she's thinking or dealing with is all in the music, from 'Chain of Fools' to 'Respect' to her live performances. And she has total confidence; she does not waver at all. I think her gospel base brings that confidence, because in gospel they do not play around — they're all about chops, who has the vocal runs. This is no game to her," describes Blige.
Coming in second to Franklin is another soul singer Ray Charles followed by the King of Rock 'n' Roll Elvis Presley.
Other prominent names who made it to the list include John Lennon at 5th slot, Stevie Wonder at #9, Paul McCartney (#11), Tina Turner (#17), Bob Marley (#19), Michael Jackson (#25), Prince (#30), Whitney Houston (#34), Elton John (#38), Mariah Carey (#79), Karen Carpenter (#94) and many other.
I was looking for the names Jon Bon Jovi, Celine Dion, Barbra Streisand and Diana Ross on the list, but they're missing.
Is Britney Spears part of the list? Unfortunately, Britney has been snubbed, but Christina Aguilera is brilliant at #58, probably the newest artist in the list.
