MYKIRU'S FIRST CATCHMister Philippines Ryan Roberts (photo, left), who arrived in Taiwan last Friday for the 2008 Mister International, is flying back to the Philippines, in a mutual decision made by Roberts and Mister Philippines organizer Mike Lim.
The decision was made after Roberts had a seizure Friday evening and was immediately rushed to a hospital in Taiwan.
The doctors said that it was due to stress and hypertension.
Roberts may have been a worthy contender for the Mister International title but Mr. Lim wanted the Philippines to be well represented without sacrificing the health of its representative, thus he decided to pull out Roberts from the said pageant.
Jeff Surio (photo, right), Mister Philippines 2008 1st Runner Up and a model/Math teacher, will replace Roberts, an ex-US soldier, in Mister International 2008.
Surio will fly to Taiwan on Tuesday, November 18, 2008.
Thirty (30) handsome men are competing in Taiwan for the title of Mister International 2008 with the finals night happening on the 24th.
