Sad to know that the scheduled Mr. World 2009 pageant in Seoul, South Korea this October has been cancelled.
As of latest update, the next Mister World pageant has been moved to next year.
On the pageant's official web site, the logo has now been changed to Mr. World Korea 2010, meaning it will be held next year but still in South Korea.
Since June, the Binibining Pilipinas Charities, Inc. which holds the franchise of Mr. World in the Philippines, has been calling for candidates for the Mr. Philippines World 2009 search, but with the postponement of the Mr. World 2009 pageant, the local search may not also push through this year.
More than eighty contestants were supposed to compete in Mr. World 2009.
The last Mr. World pageant was held three years ago, with Juan Garcia Postigo from Spain winning Mr. World 2007 title.
