Three finalists from the Philippines failed to score victory in the 2009 International Emmy Awards held on Monday, November 23, in New York.
Angel Locsin, who was present there to grace the event, lost the Best Actress Award to Julie Walters of United Kingdom.
Locsin was nominated for ABS-CBN's Lobo while Walters won for BBC's A Short Stay in Switzerland.
Walters already appeared in a number of international films, most popular of which are the Harry Potter series where she played Molly, mother of Ron Weasley (Rupert Grint).
Two other nominees from the Philippines also lost the chance to bag the Best Telenovela Award.
GMA 7's Magdusa Ka and ABS-CBN's Kahit Isang Saglit both lost to India's A Love Story.
