Kaiane Aldorino from Gibraltar is Miss World 2009

A beauty from Gibraltar was crowned Miss World 2009 on December 12 besting 111 other gorgeous beauties from around the world, including Mykiru's top favorite Perla Beltran from Mexico who finished as 1st Runner Up. Not bad though!
Miss Gibraltar Kaiane Aldorino, a 23-year-old HR Clerk of a hospital in her cuntry, becomes the first ever beauty queen from Gibraltar to enter the semis of Miss World and obviously, the first Gibraltarian to have won the Miss World crown.
More so, it's also the first ever international title for a Miss Gibraltar.
Even before the pageant finals, Miss Gibraltar was already highly favored by the Miss World Organization.
She was shorlisted as finalist in three fast track events and eventually won one of the fast track titles: the Miss World Beach Beauty.
Because of this historic win by Aldorino, the government of Gibraltar is planning for a "royal" welcome when she comes back to her homeland.
