Exactly a week from now, the 9th Season of American Idol will premiere on FOX Network in the US.
On January 12 and 13, 2010, American Idol Season 9 will have a 2-night premiere and air the auditions done in Boston and Atlanta while on the coming weeks, auditions in Chicago, Orlando, L.A. and Denver will be shown.
The Road to Hollywood auditions will be aired starting February 3 then the official Top 24 semifinalists will be revealed on Feb. 17.
Ryan Seacrest will still host the show and judges such as Simon Cowell, Randy Jackson and Kara DioGuardi will still be part of it. New addition in the judges lineup is Ellen DeGeneres who replaced Paula Abdul.
The American Idol Season 9 will also be the last season that Simon will sit as judge 'coz he'd be concentrating in his other projects, such as the 'X-Factor'.
In the Philippines, the new season of American Idol will be aired starting Jan. 13 on Q11.
