Justin Bieber is among the nominees in the 10th Annual BET Awards, asrevealed yesterday, May 18, 2010, in New York.
Bieber is nominated as Best New Artist, alongside Melanie Fiona, Nicki
Minaj, Wale and Young Money.
I'm not so familiar with the other nominees. Will it be a knockout win
for Bieber? Maybe not, as the other nominees are so strong that they
also have other nominations. Fiona is also nominated for Best Female
R&B artist, Best Video and the Centric Award while Minaj is up for
Best Female Hip Hop Artist and Viewers Choice award, and Young Money
as Best Group and also Viewers Choice nominee.
As for the other categories, ex-lovers Rihanna and Chris Brown are
both nominated. Rihanna has 4 nods: Best Female R&B artist, Best
Collaboration, Video of the Year and Viewers Choice while Brown has
only one, Best Male R&B artist.
R&B Diva Beyonce also has 4 nominations just like those of Rihanna.
I am hoping that Black Eyed Peas will win as Best Group and Selena
Gomez takes the Young Star Award.
Tiger Woods, who had a rocky marriage life the past 6 months, is a
nominee for Subway Sportsman of the Year with NBA stars LeBron James
and Kobe Bryant.
Presented by the Black Entertainment Television, the BET Awards 2010
will be presented on June 27 in L.A. with Queen Latifah as host.
