American multi-platinum artist Josh Groban has thanked Christian Bautista on Twitter for singing "You Raise Me Up" at President Noynoy Aquino's Inauguration yesterday. It was actually Josh's response to Christian's tweet right after his performance at the inauguration.
Christian, who's a self-confessed Josh Groban fan, acknowledged Josh in his tweet: "Proud to sing @joshgroban's 'You Raise Me Up' for the Aquino-Binay President and Vice President Inauguration here in Manila!"
Josh Groban noticed his tweet and replied, "@xtianbautista Thanks very much! I'm sure this is a huge day for the great people of your country." How nice of him!
A few hours before Christian performed at the inauguration, he was already trying to introduce himself to Josh.
Responding to Josh's tweet to all his followers, Christian twittered, "@joshgroban yeah breakeven is the best! - I'm a singer from Manila and I singer from Manila and I sing your songs, my fave is your song "when you say you love me". But Josh was just "deadma" until the inauguration day when he finally responded to Christian's tweet.
Christian hopes to sing with Josh someday. I'm also hoping to see them sing together. Maybe Charice, who already met Josh Groban in person, can help this come true via David Foster.
For now, let's all watch out for Christian at the Bench Uncut Fashion Show tomorrow, June 2. He's gonna raise the temperature up at the Araneta Coliseum!
