ABS-CBN is doing a remake of the 90's hit soap opera "Mara Clara" which launched Judy Ann Santos (Mara) and Gladys Reyes (Clara) to stardom.

Kathryn Bernardo and Julia Montes who are both now on their teenage years.

Kathryn is 14 years old and is best known as Maya, Makisig Morales'
love interest in the ABS-CBN's 2006 TV series Super Inggo.

She recently played the young Gretchen Barretto in "Magkaribal" also on ABS-CBN and the young Marian Rivera on GMA 7's "Endless Love" where she formed a loveteam with Kristoffer Martin Dangculos.

The offer to portray the lead role in "Mara Clara" probably explains why she opted to go back to ABS-CBN leaving Kristoffer on with a new partner on GMA's Tween Hearts.

Julia Montes on one hand is among the original cast members of ABS-CBN's Goin' Bulilit where she's formerly known as Mara Schnittka and later as Mara Montes. But in her new show, she is playing Clara and not Mara, that's why there's a need to change her screen name.

Julia has made a number of movies, such as "T2" topbilled by Maricel Soriano and "Caregiver" which starred Sharon Cuneta.

    yeah right... pareho silang magaling unexpected ang husay nila... at lalo ako humanga kay Julia sa scene nya with Ms. Gina Parenio...she almost outstage one of our very good veteran actress...hindi siya nagpatalo... giving right project both of them will go far...who knows maybe they will be the next big stars

    sa galing nyong 2 wala na kaming hinihintay gabi2 kundi ang mga show ng channel 2 mula sa tv patrol hanggang imortal aabangan mo talaga kaya hurrrrray sa abs at super ganda ng mga show nyo ngayon GO GO GO!!!!!
