Sen. Panfilo 'Ping' Lacson has returned to the country after more than a year of disappearance.
Senator Ping has arrived just today at the Mactan International Airport, 11:42 AM, on board a Cathay Pacific flight CX921, which was confirmed by PNP spokesperson Chief Superintendent Agrimero Cruz to ABS-CBN News.
And shockingly, he came from Hong Kong.
Yes, it comes as a surprise because the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) has already concluded back in March 2010, based on its investigation, that Sen. Ping Lacson has already left Hong Kong.
The MalacaƱang Palace has welcomed Ping's return to the country. “We welcome the return of Senator Ping Lacson so that he can put closure to the accusations hurled against him," Presidential spokesman Edwin Lacierda told Yahoo! Southeast Asia.
Early this week, many people believed that Lacson might come out of hiding after the Court of Appeals has nullified the arrest warrant which was issued against him in connection with the Dacer-Corbito murder case filed in January 2010.
So, welcome back na lang Sen. Ping!!!
