Gandang Gabi Vice Season 1 has ended Feb. 19, but a new season begins Feb. 26.
Due to insistent public daemand, Gandang Gabi Vice or GGV will no longer go off-air for 3 months as earlier planned, but instead will continue for a new season beginning next Sunday (Feb. 26).
Vice Ganda himself announced it during the supposed final episode of 'Gandang Gabi Vice', an episode which turned out to be just the season-ender episode of this top-rating show on ABS-CBN.
It's indeed one good move by ABS-CBN to continue the show, which has earned the title "Trending Capital of the Philippines" and has become a Sunday night habit of many televiewers since it premiered in May 2011.
Just last week, GGV has won Best Talk Varieto program at the 8th USTv Awards.
Here's ABS-CBN's program lineup for its Sunday primetime beginning Feb. 26:
TV Patrol Weekend
Goin' Bulilit
Rated K
Sarah G Live!
PBB Unlimited
Gandang Gabi Vice
However, this good news isn't ringing so good actually to some viewers.
"Echosera", "lokohan", "drama lang" were just some of the words they described about this announcement of GGV's 2nd Season.
We can't blame them to feel like they've been fooled (again) by ABS-CBN, who already did the same thing just recently.
Remember the drama they did for Showtime before it was transformed into a noontime show?
Many thought it was Showtime's last episode and it temporarily went off air after that, but later turned out to be just a "thank you" episode returning after a week under a new title, with new timeslot and format.
