Janine Tugonon has won the Binibining Pilipinas - Universe 2012 title during the pageant's coronation night held Sunday, April 15, 2012 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum (Big Dome).
Janine Tugonon is 22 years old and hails from Balanga, Bataan.
A Cum Laude graduate of BS Pharmacy from the University of Sto. Tomas (UST), Janine Marie Tugonon was the 1st Runner Up during the 2011 Binibining Pilipinas pageant, duplicating what Diane Necio did last year.
Diane was 1st Runner Up during Bb Pilipinas 2010 and competed again the next year, finally winning 1 of the 3 major titles
While at UST, Janine was Miss Pharmacy 2009 and won as Ideal Thomasian Personality (Miss UST) in 2010.
As the new Binibining Pilipinas - Universe 2012 titleholder, Janine Tugonon will be the Philippines' representative to the Miss Universe 2012 pageant happening on December, exact date and venue are yet to be announced.
