American Idol Season 12 will have a totally new set of American Idol judges when it premieres this January 2013.
After judges Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler announced their exit in the show last July, longest-staying judge Randy Jackson is also reportedly not returning as judge on American Idol Season 12.
TMZ has reported last Friday that Randy Jackson, who has been a judge since American Idol Season 1 in 2002, will still return for Season 12, no longer as a judge, but only as a mentor.
I actually love Randy Jackson stepping down as judge and will just mentor the contestants, 'coz I already find him boring as a judge and he was better during the time Simon Cowell was still part of the judging panel.
Still according to TMZ, Randy is most likely to be replaced by country singer Keith Urban.
A 4-time Grammy-winner, Keith Urban is said to be in negotiation to be an American Idol 2013 judge and is already close to making a deal.
Prior to this, 'Super Bass' singer Nicki Minaj is also a possible judge, taking over Steven Tyler's seat.
So far, only Mariah Carey is 100% confirmed to judge American Idol Season 12, replacing Jennifer Lopez. - www.mykiru.ph
