Miss Universe 2012: Miss Guyana falls on stage at evening gown prelims

At yesterday's Miss Universe 2012 Preliminary Evening Gown competition, Miss Guyana Ruqayyah Boyer fell on stage ala Miriam Quiambao while presenting her evening gown, but she managed to get up with grace and continue walking as if nothing happened.

Just like Miss Philippines Miriam Quiambao, who slipped and fell at the Miss Universe 1999 evening gown prelims and eventually became the pageant's 1st Runner Up, there's a possibility that Miss Guyana Ruqayyah Boyer might also land a spot in the semis of Miss Universe 2012 for the queenly grace that she showed after the fall. (But of course, it's just 1/3 of her preliminary scores, which will also consider her preliminary swimsuit and interview scores.)
She's actually already doing great in that evening gown portion even before the epic fall happened.
Before the preliminaries, Miss Guyana ranked 79th or in the Bottom group of my Miss Universe 2012 favorites list and we'll see how she'll rank on my post-prelims list, which I will be releasing tomorrow, December 16. - Mykiru.ph
Miss Universe Guyana 2012, Ruqayyah Boyer, competes in an evening gown of her choice during the Evening Gown Competition of the 2012 Miss Universe Presentation Show on Thursday, December 13th at PH Live in Las Vegas, Nevada. The 89 Miss Universe Contestants will compete for the Diamond Nexus Crown on the LIVE NBC Telecast of the 2012 Miss Universe Pageant set for 8:00 PM ET on December 19, 2012.
