After the swimsuit round, Miss Universe 2012 trimmed down its Top 16 finalists to just 10.
The Miss Universe 2012 Top 10 semi-finalists are as follows:
South Africa, Melinda Bam
Venezuela, Irene Sofia Esser
Philippines, Janine Tugonon
Mexico, Karina Gonzalez
Australia , Renae Ayris
USA, Olivia Culpo
Brazil, Gabriela Markus
France, Marie Payet
Russia, Elizabeth Golovanova
Hungary, Agnes Konkoly
Big favorite Miss Croatia failed to advance to the Top 10. Blame it to her lacking energy during the swimsuit competition.
With India also not advancing to the Top 10, Philippines has become the only Asian left in the competition.
This wasn't the case last year, as both China and the Philippines entered the Top 5. - Mykiru.ph
