AFC Challenge Cup 2014 Qualifiers for Group E, Philippines Vs Cambodia match finished with 8-0 score, which was held Sunday night, March 24, 2013, at the Rizal Memorial Football Stadium and was aired live via Studio 23.
The Philippine Azkals won vs Cambodia with a very impressive 8 goals, 4 of which were scored by Phil Younghusband during the 25th, 31st, 34th and 87th minute of the game. In football, it's called a "hat trick", 3 goals or more scored by one player in a single game.
The other goals were made by Fil-Spanish Javier Patiño, one of Azkals' newest players (44', 57'), by Stephan Schrock (46') and the last one scored by Carli de Murga (89').
The game continued despite the heavy downpour of rains during the start of the 2nd half and the players' jerseys were so wet already. (But they looked hot when wet haha. "Felix Bakat"? The Azkals' white jerseys have become "see-through".)
At the 67th minute, the game was temporarily suspended, and then resumed only after more than an hour when the rain finally stopped pouring.
Philippines is now the leading team in Group E, with 6 points and goal difference of 11, ahead of Turkmenistan, also with 6 points but a 10 goal difference. After tonight, Cambodia already lost its chance to qualify for the 2014 AFC Challenge Cup.
