Denise Garrido was crowned Miss Universe Canada 2013 on Saturday, May
25 (Sunday, May 26, MLA Time), and will be Canada's official representative to Miss Universe 2013 pageant happening this December.
Filipino-Canadian Riza Santos, who finished as the 1st Runner Up.
Denise Garrido's profile at Miss Universe Canada's official web site says she was a Cum Laude graduate of Biomedical Sciences at the Laurentian University in Canada, and holds a 2nd degree black belt in Taekwondo.
Named 2nd Runner Up was Siera Bearchell, while Michelle McKay was the 3rd Runner Up and Diana Martin, also Miss Photogenic was the 4th Runner Up.

Probably one of toughest in Miss Universe Canada history, this year's edition had two candidates who already gained vast experience in representing Canada at major international pageants.
