FINAL SCORES: INDIANA 79-90 MIAMI
Now the NBA Eastern Conference Finals 2012 are tied up 2-2 and Game 5 is back at Miami's home court, who's gonna win the game tonight?
The expectation is high for the Miami Heat to win Game 5, just like their last playoffs meetings during the 2012 NBA Eastern Conference Semi-finals when the Miami also took Game 5 from the Pacers to lead the series, 3-2, and eventually won Game 6 to secure their spot to the East finals.
Happening at the American Airlines Arena today, May 30 (May 31 Mla time), the Miami Heat vs Indiana Pacers Game 5 started so tight that both teams were unable to score in the first 3 minutes of the game.
The first shot was only made at 9:42 by Roy Hibbert of the Pacers, and it took 30 minutes for the Heat to score their first shot, thanks to Lebron James' 2 point-shot.
Scores at halftime were 44-40, in favor of the Pacers.
The Miami Heat owned the 3rd quarter BIGTIME, scoring more than double the Pacers'. Their biggest lead in Game 5 against the Indiana Pacers (14 points) came during the last 16 minutes of the 3rd quarter after a 3-point shot by Lebron James. At this point, Lebron already has 27 points.
3rd quarter wrapped up with the Miami leading by 13 points, 57-70.
The Heat scored 30 points in the 3rd Q alone while the Pacers only had a miserable 13 points.
In the 4th Quarter, the Pacers were very determined to overcome Miami's big 13-point lead. And it looked like they were in control early in this last quarter.
After a 3-point shot by Paul George and a layup by Tyler Hansbrough, both from the Pacers, Miami's lead down to 8, 62-70, at 10:45 of the 4th quarter.
But Miami's lead went back to 13 by the 8th minute, 66-79.
Less than 2 minutes left in the 4th quarter (1:51), Miami Heat were already winning, still leading by 12 points, 76-88.
After a layup at 1:23, Lebron James hit 30 points!
