NBA Finals 2013 Game 5 Final Scores: Miami Heat 104, San Antonio Spurs 114
Game 5 of the 2013 NBA Finals took place for the 3rd and last time at San Antonio's homecourt, AT&T Center.
Before Game 5, Miami Heat-San Antonio Spurs Series was tied at 2-2, and it was one perfect time to make
bets on who would take a 3-2 lead. Most of my friends placed bets for the SA Spurs to win Game 5, and they were right.
While it's not always a home-court advantage, Game 5 results proved to be that case for the Spurs. They're leading by 13 points after the 1st Quarter, 19-32, and still leading by 9 pts. as of halftime, 52-61. At the end of the 3rd, they're up by 12: 75-87.
The scenario even got worse for the Miami Heat in the 4th quarter when the Spurs posted their biggest lead of 20 points at 9:12 (76-96), and later finished with a 10-point win, 104-114.
Putting Manu Ginobili in its Starting 5 in place of Tiago Splitter proved effective for the SA Spurs.
Despite giving their best in Game 5 (it wasn't their worst in the finals), Miami Heat was never ahead of the Spurs on this game.
Spurs now lead series, 3-2, and winning the series in Game 6 is going to be tough as it takes place at Miami's homecourt this Tuesday night, June 18 (Wednesday morning, June 19). Series tied twice already but Miami Heat by the way never took the lead in the series.
