NBA Finals 2013 Miami Heat vs San Antonio Spurs Game 3 Results: Spurs win, 77-113, now lead series at 2-1
NBA Finals 2013 continues with Game 3 Tuesday, June 11 (June 12 MLA Time) as the San Antonio Spurs seek to win at home court (AT&T Center) after they won Game 1 and lost Game 2, which were held both at Miami Heat's home court.
Now that the Heat-Spurs series is tied at 1-1, it becomes very exciting who will take a 2-1 lead, something that might predict the outcome of this year's NBA Finals (usually the case in NBA history).
Looks like Game 3 is for the Spurs, who have been in control of the game since the 1st quarter and never gave the Heat a chance to top the scoreboards.
The San Antonio Spurs were leading by 11 points, 32-43, 3 min. left in the 2nd quarter, but the Miami Heat managed to overcome that lead and tied it at 44-44, with 37 seconds remaining.
And the 1st half closed with a 6-point lead by the Spurs, 44-50. How did they do that? 6 points with only 30 seconds left? Really?
Yeah, it was very possible as the Spurs made 2 successive 3-point shots right before halftime (1 by Tony Parker with 26 seconds left and a buzzer-beater from Gary Neal) to put them back on the lead.
And the Spurs left no room for the Heat to make game-changing shots in the 2nd half.
Biggest lead by the Spurs was 37 points, 76-113, 46 seconds left in the 4th Quarter.
Spurs' Danny Green was the Player of the Game, after scoring 27 points - his best scoring record in his last 48 games.
Heat's Lebron James meanwhile was at his worst scoring record since the NBA 2013 Playoffs, with only 15 points.
