'Isang' is now a tropical storm.
Tropical Depression Isang has intensified into a Tropical Storm but is already expected to exit the Philippine Area of Responsibility by Wednesday evening. That's tonight, July 17, 2013, according to PAGASA's latest weather bulletin.
In the previous bulletin, Isang was expected to leave Thursday morning
and public storm warning signal #1 was raised in 5 areas such as Ilocos Norte, Apayao, Cagayan incl. Calayan, Babuyan Group of Islands and the Batanes Group of Islands.
But in the newest bulletin released at 5PM today, public storm warning
signal has been lifted already in Apayao and Cagayan but not in the
other previously mentioned areas (Ilocos Norte, Calayan, Babuyan Group
of Islands and Batanes Group of Islands).
"ISANG" is now crossing Luzon Strait, according to PAGASA, and is located 210 km Northwest of Aparri, Cagayan, with maximum winds of 65 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 80 kph. It's moving northwest at 22 kph.
