The Miss Earth 2013 Preliminary Swimsuit Competition was held poolside at the F1 Hotel Manila Tuesday night, December 3, 2013.
The Top 15 finalists, who were selected during the swimsuit rounds held previously in different locations, competed against each other last night, aiming for the gold.
The gold medal went to Miss Ukraine Anatasia "Nastia" Sukh, who later posted on Facebook that she's so pleased to have won the top prize for the preliminary swimsuit competition. "thank you! I am very pleased!," she said via Miss Earth official FB Page.
Miss Brazil Priscilla Martins meanwhile took Silver, while Miss Venezuela Alyz Henrich, who already won Gold for the preliminary evening gown competition, was awarded this time the Bronze medal.
The other candidates who competed for a medal were Misses Austria (Katia Wagner), Bolivia (MarÃa Renée Carmona), Colombia (Diana Ortegón), Costa Rica (Mariela Aparicio), Mauritius (Virginie Dorza), Mexico (Kristal Silva), Philippines (Angelee delos Reyes), Serbia (Andjelka Tomasevic), Slovak Republic (Lucia Slaninkova), South Africa (Ashanti Mbanga), Spain (Cristina Martinez) and Sweden (Denice Andrée).
Also on the same night, the winners of the Miss Photogenic online voting conducted thru Facebook were also revealed. They are Miss India Sobhita Dhulipala (Gold) after getting a total of 8,465 votes, Miss Macau Ashely Qian (Silver) with a close 8,082 votes and host candidate, Miss Philippines Angelee delos Reyes in a distant 3rd place (Bronze) with 4,796 votes.

After the swimsuit competition, the top-performing candidate now based on medals won is Miss Venezuela with 1 gold, 1 silver and 3 bronze medals.
Next to her are Miss Philippines with 2 silver and 3 bronze medals, Miss Thailand Punika Kulsoontornrut with 2 gold and 1 bronze, Miss South Africa Ashanti Mbanga (2 Gold) and Miss Ukraine (1 silver, 1 bronze).
Also ranking high in the medals tally are Miss Nepal Rojisha Shahi Thakuri and Miss Northern Ireland Amira Graham each having 1 gold and 1 silver medals.
The Miss Earth 2013 finals is already happening this Saturday, December 7, at the Versailles Palace in Alabang.
