The San Mig Coffee Mixers took on Rain or Shine Elasto Painters tonight, Feb. 21, in Game 4 of the 2014 PBA Philippine Cup Finals at the Araneta Coliseum, which aired live on TV5. Final results are posted below.
Before Game 4 started, it was announced that Petron Blaze center June Mar Fajardo is the Best Player of the conference, beating other nominees Arwind Santos, Japeth Aguilar, Jay Washington and Greg
Slaughter.
The San Mig Coffee Mixers poured their hearts in to make it 3-1 after tonight's game. They led by 10 as of halftime. 52-42.
But Rain or Shine took more possessions in the 3rd quarter, and finished it with a 6-point lead. 70-76. In this quarter, Mixers' Marc Pingris was seriously injured in the eye, and was escorted away from the bench.
That however didn't stop the Mixers from lording over the 4th Quarter, and took Game 4 with a 3-point win. 93-90.
Rookie Ian Sangalang was Game 4 Best Player, with 17 points and 8 rebounds. Mark Barroca and James Yap also scored 17 points. (James' 13 points were scored in the 1st Quarter.)
