FIBA Asia Cup 2014 has wrapped up its Day 4 Wuhan, China. How's the performance so far of the Philippine team, the Gilas Pilipinas?
After winning vs Chinese Taipei last Saturday, and again yesterday vs Singapore, Gilas Pilipinas is now leading among the four teams in Group B, with 2-0 in the standings.
The team will now be playing next against Jordan today, July 15, the last day of the FIBA Asia Cup 2014 Preliminary Round.
The Philippines vs Jordan game is the 3rd game in 4 matches scheduled for today, July 15, 2014. The other 3 are the highly-anticipated Iran vs India in Group A, Indonesia vs Japan also under Group A and Singapore vs Chinese Taipei in Group B.
Since there are only 4 teams in Group B, they will all automatically qualify for the quarterfinals on the 17th regardless of the results in the prelim stage. Of course, their group ranking will determine which team they're going to play against in the quarter-finals among Group A teams, composed of the host team China, Iran, India, Japan and Indonesia.
