Gilas Pilipinas lost against Croatia in the 2014 FIBA World Cup opening game held August 30, 2014 in Seville, Spain. Final Scores: 81-78 at overtime.

As aired live via TV5, Solar Sports and Basketball TV, Gilas Pilipinas were way behind in the 1st quarter, scored only 9 points as against Croatia's 23 points, but they recovered in the 2nd quarter to score 22 points, while the Croatians made 14 points.
As of halftime, scores were: 37-31, Croatia leading by 6.
After the 3rd, Croatia's lead went up to 8. 57-49
The Filipinos outscored the Croatians during the last quarter (22 vs 14) and both teams finished the period tied at 71, to push a 5-minute overtime.
But it's still Croatia who won vs the Philippines. 81-78.
