FIBA Basketball World Cup 2014 Gilas Pilipinas vs Puerto Rico Results: One team stays alive for a chance to Round of 16, the other team bids its World Cup journey goodbye.
Two winless teams, Philippines and Puerto Rico, from Group B of FIBA World Cup 2014 faced off earlier in a "do-or-die" game. Which team finally scored a victory?
And sadly, it's Puerto Rico, who now has a 1-3 record, and still has a chance to qualify for the Round of 16.
Our dearest Gilas Pilipinas meanwhile already lost its chance to advance to the next round even if they still have 1 more game left (vs Senegal) tomorrow.
The Philippines, now with 4 consecutive losses and no single win, becomes the bottom-ranked in Group B, behind Greece, Croatia, Argentina and Puerto Rico.

As you can see in the scores, Gilas Pilipinas was already winning in the 1st half, but it has become a completely different story when the game ended.
The team definitely did their best in each of their games in FIBA Basketball World Cup 2014. They almost won in all of those games, most heartbreaking of which was probably that overtime defeat to Croatia.
It's somehow remarkable that in 3 of their 4 losses, the Philippines lost by a single digit only. And that's better than any other teams with multiple losses.
