Nonito Donaire vs Nicholas Walters fight is over, and the results? A KO in 6th Round!
Sadly, it's Walters who scored the knockout win.
This is truly one bad news for the Filipino fans. Nonito Donaire Jr., 31, got knocked out in 6th round by his opponent, 28-year-old Jamaican Nicholas Walters, during their WBA super featherweight title fight earlier in the US.
The brutal knockout happened in Round 6, with 2:59 minutes left, becoming Walters' 21st KO win in his entire career. He now has a total of 25 wins, and still undefeated.
Two years ago, Manny Pacquiao lost to Juan Manuel Marquez also via a KO in 6th.
Too heartbreaking to see Donaire getting knocked out in what was considered to be a really tough fight for the Filipino boxer.
He was promised to be given much bigger fights if he won this. But now that he lost, it's not clear now where he's going.
