Crowned Miss Earth 2014 winner was the host candidate Miss Philippines Jamie Herrell, beating 84 other candidates, during the pageant's finale held earlier tonight, November 29, 2014, at the UP Diliman Theatre.
Jamie Herrell becomes the 2nd from the country to win the Miss Earth title, the first was Karla Paula Henry in 2008. Just like Henry, Herrell is also from Cebu City.
In 14 editions of Miss Earth, three (3) countries have won the title twice already: Brazil (2004, 2009), Venezuela (2005, 2013) and now the Philippines (2008, 2014).
But the big question is: Did Miss Philippines win out of home court advantage? Was she deserving to win the crown this year? What happened to Miss Brazil during the Top 8 Q&A? Read: Miss Earth 2014 Controversies: Miss Philippines as winner, Brazil's interpreter)
