The latest Top 10 in the Miss World 2014 People's Choice voting (as of midnight last night) still includes Miss Philippines Valerie Weigmann, as well as other favorites such as Miss South Africa Rolene Strauss, Miss India Koyal Rana, Miss Australia Courtney Thorpe and Miss Thailand Thailand, Nonthawan Thongleng.
In the Miss World 2014 finale, which is just 3 days from now, one lucky candidate will be guaranteed a place in the finals if she would be the People's Choice winner. Last year, Miss Gibraltar made her way to the Top 6 after she got the award.
The voting is being done in the Miss World App (download it now at the Miss World official site if you haven't yet and vote for Miss Philippines Valerie Weigmann), and in every candidate's profile, you can see if she's currently in the Top 10, in the Top 25 or in the Top 50.
As of 11PM last night, December 10, those candidates labeled with TOP 10, meaning
they've got the 10 highest votes so far are Misses: (in random order, I repeat, in random order)
Philippines, Valerie Weigmann
India, Koyal Rana
Australia, Courtney Thorpe
Barbados, Zoé Trotman
Tanzania, Happiness Watimanya
Netherlands, Tatjana Maul
Thailand, Nonthawan Thongleng
Haiti, Carolyn Desert
South Africa, Rolene Strauss
Nepal, Subin Limbu
Meanwhile, those in the TOP 25 (currently ranked 11 to 25th) are: (in alphabetical order)
Albania, Xhensila Pere
Argentina, Yoana Don
Cameroon, Larissa Ngangoum
Canada, Annora Bourgeault
Chad, Sakadi Djivra
England, Carina Tyrrell
France, Flora Coquerel
Indonesia, Maria Sastrayu
Japan, Hikaru Kawai
Mexico, Daniela Álvarez
Mongolia, Battsetseg Turbat
Russia, Anastasia Kostenko
Turkey, Amine GülÅe
United States, Elizabeth Safrit
Surprisingly, the TOP 50 candidates so far (ranked 26 to 50th) include Miss Honduras Maria Jose Alvarado who died before the pageant started last month.
Probably as a way of paying tribute to her, the Miss World Organisation decided not to remove her from the list of candidates (count: 121 plus her) and still include her in the voting. She's still getting votes and has cracked the Top 50. (in alphabetical order)
Aruba, Xhensila Pere
Austria, Julia Furdea
Bahamas, Rosetta Cartwright
Belgium, Anissa Blondin
Belize, Raquel Badillo
Bermuda, Lillian Lightbourn
Brazil, Julia Gama

"I am so excited to be co-hosting Miss World. I love hosting, it is truly one of my biggest passions and to be able to host such an iconic event in front of billions of viewers worldwide only a year after I was crowned is such an honour," said Megan, as posted in the Miss World website. - Mykiru.ph
