'Forevermore' Finale: Did you love it?
ABS-CBN's top-rating soap 'Forevermore' has aired its 35-minute finale episode last night, May 22, 2015, after 7 months of primetime supremacy. And it's either you loved the ending or you were disappointed.
Whatever it is, there's surely one thing that has been resolved - MAY FOREVER!? - at least between the soap's beloved characters Xander and Agnes, portrayed by Enrique Gil and Liza Soberano.
It was kinda expected that it's gonna end that way, but I appreciate how it was done. Deviating from the typical Pinoy soap opera ending (an elaborate wedding scene), 'Forevermore' ended instead with a marriage proposal by Xander and Agnes while they were both soaked in the rain.
We all know it's another usual trademark by director Cathy Garcia-Molina (sweet scenes under the rain), but it still worked to become one of the most "kilig" finale scenes on Philippine TV. Agree?
Xander to Agnes: "This time, I will not commit the same mistake again. This time, maghihintay na 'ko, even if it takes forever. Maghihintay ako. Agnes, time may stop, the world may come to an end, pero hinding hindi ako titigil na mahalin ka."
Agnes: "Mahal din kita, pero 'wag ka nang OA dyan."
Xander: "Tapos na ko sa promises promises na yan. Hindi na rin ako naniniwala sa kapal ng strawberry. The only thing I believe in now is us."
(Xander kneels)
Xander: "Since forever na tayo, dito na ko magtatanong, kung saan humahalik ang langit sa lupa. Ma. Agnes Calay, ang Reyna ng Strawberry Jam at ang pinakamagandang kulot sa balat ng lupa, will you marry me?"
(Agnes speechless, just smiling.)
Xander: "O, dapat sinasabi mo...na..."
Agnes: "Alam ko ang sasabihin ko Mr. Alexander Grande III. 'Wag mo ko pangunahan ah.. YES!"
Xander: "Mahal na mahal kita Agnes. My love for you..."
Agnes: "...will be forevermore."
The sweetest!!!!!
That and this one, where they spent the whole night together, Agnes wrapped around Xander's arms, were the most memorable moments in 'Forevermore' finale.
Reactions on the finale were actually mostly positive to mixed. Many loved it, but there were still some who were not satisfied and thought it looked kinda rushed. Yeah, I understand them, especially that too many things happened in that 35-minute finale episode. They should have actually made it into 5 more episodes or good for 1 more week.
Over-all, it was still a highly-satisfying finale worth remembering, much better than last year's highly-disappointing "The Legal Wife" finale.
Goodbye "Forevermore"! Now let's say Hello! to "Pangako Sa 'Yo", which takes over Forevermore's timeslot starting this Monday, May 25, 2015. It stars Kathryn Bernardo, Daniel Padilla, Ian Veneracion, Angelica Panganiban and Jodi Sta. Maria. - Mykiru.ph
