The Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton gave birth to the new royal baby last Saturday morning, May 2, 2015, and on Tuesday afternoon, May 5, the little princess' birth was officially registered.

The Kensington Palance has announced it via Twitter, also showing a copy of the birth register where the baby appears to have been given the name Princess Charlotte Elizabeth Diana.

@kensingtonroyal: "The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are delighted to announce that they have named their daughter Charlotte Elizabeth Diana."

I sooo love the name. It's perfect! A beautiful name for a beautiful little girl.

Many wanted her to be named after Princess Diana, and so they included it, at least, even if she will be formally called as Her Royal Highness Princess Charlotte of Cambridge.

It seems like the baby's grandfather, great grandmother and late grandmother were altogether honored in her name: Charlotte = for Prince Charles (it's the female counterpart of the name Charles), Elizabeth = for Queen Elizabeth II (also Kate's 2nd name) and Diana = for the late Princess Diana. - Mykiru.ph
