The "wedding" video of a 4-year-old patient and her handsome nurse has gone viral online. I think it's the cutest "wedding" I've ever seen, even if it's just a make-believe one.
On July 16, Lori Ciafardo shared on Facebook this cute video of 4-year-old leukemia patient Abby getting "married" to her favorite nurse, Matt Hickling, at the Albany Medical Center Hospital - Melodies Center for Childhood Cancers in New York.
The video soon became viral on the internet, and as of the moment, it has been viewed more than 27 million times, now having more than 700k likes, 350k shares and 33k comments, as Facebook users praise the nurse for granting the child's wish.
I adore him for his incredible act of kindess and for doing anything that would make her feel better.
The nurse is in fact a happily married guy, and his wife Karli was very supportive of his husband's "wedding" to the 4-year-old beautiful girl. "Ahhhh my husband is the best loving all of the sweet words. What he does is not easy, but I couldn't imagine anyone better doing the job!!!," Karli posted in the comment section.
She's got good taste, and very lucky to have Matt as her nurse (and now her "husband").

So today I got to help make a 4 year old leukemia patient's "wedding" to her favorite nurse Matt Hickling happen at the Melodies Center for Childhood Cancers at AMC. Thanks to Scott Wright and the team at the Enchanted Garden for donating your time and amazing flowers and to everyone at AMC that helped pull this together in less than 24 hours. You people are amazing. THIS is why we go into nursing.
