It's never too late to be a fangirl, even if you're already 63 years old.
Last Sunday's mall show of the country's hottest dance group Hashtags at The District in Imus, Cavite was no ordinary one. Yes, there were those loud cheers and high-pitched screams by predominantly teenage crowd, but it was made special by the presence of Hashtag Jameson Blake's super fan, who's no longer in her teens, nor 20s, 30s and even 40s and 50s.
She's already 63 years old, and she was one of those who patiently queued just to buy the Hashtags album and get a meet-and-greet access with the boys.
Dula Bautista, a 63-year-old mother of 6 and has 20 grandchildren, hails from Naic, Cavite and is a proud member of Blakers Republic, an official fan club of Hashtag Jameson. Like any other fangirls, she also screamed and cheered loud for Jameson while waving a small banner with "Blakers Republic" and "#Jameson" written on it.
Hashtag Nikko Natividad noticed her and told Jameson to ask her come up the stage. Nanay Dula suddenly became the luckiest Hashtags fangirl when she got to kiss most of the Hashtags and claimed her biggest prize: she got kissed by her idol Jameson Blake not once, not twice, but thrice!
Had the chance to have a short convo with Nanay Dula after the said mall show. She happily shared that she only came to the show to support Jameson but never expected to come up the stage and get the spotlight (Star Magic and Jameson shared the above photo in their respective Twitter accounts).
"Oh jeeezzzz overloaded talaga ako sa saya, ha ha ha!!! Sa tanang buhay ko, itong experience ang hindi ko makalimutan talaga!! (I was so overjoyed. This experience is something I will never forget for the rest of my life.)", Tita Dula said, also revealing that she's been a fan of Jameson since his PBB days.
In fact, it wasn't her first time to go to an event featuring Jameson. She went to the "Tatak Star Magic" event at Trinoma, and was among the attendees at Jameson's 19th birthday party and get-together with the fans held last June 12 in QC, where she also met Hashtag Jimboy and Hashtag Zeus.
On why she loves Jameson a lot, here's what Nanay Dula's got to say: "Sobrang mabait siya, mapagmahal na anak, down to earth at hindi choosy sa mga fans, kahit na sa tulad kong may edad na. (He's very nice, a loving son, very down-to-earth and not choosy when it comes to dealing with fans of all ages)".
And it seems like Nanay Dula isn't taking a break from being a dedicated Jameson fan. She'll join other Blakers this July 3 for Hashtags' album tour at the Market! Market! in Taguig, and on July 5, she'll also be a studio audience on It's Showtime to cheer live for Jameson. - Mykiru.ph
