Sagamihara Stabbing: What really happened?

Sagamihara, Japan: #PrayForJapan was trending on Twitter the whole day today. I thought there was an earthquake again in Japan, or another terrorist attack after a series of such in other countries this 2016.
So, what really happened?
Early morning today, July 26, 2016, a mass stabbing (knife attack) occurred at a nursing home for people with mental disabilities in Sagamihara, Japan. 19 innocent people lost their lives, 26 were injured, according to a report from The Guardian.
Named as suspect was Satoshi Uematsu, a former employee of the very same facility where those 19 people were being cared for along with 130 others.
What a senseless and awful attack! I feel disgusted hearing again such news of many people losing their lives.
