It's Showtime hosts react to Eat Bulaga! host's IG post

Joey De Leon is under fire for allegedly mocking someone's death in this Instagram picture of him.

The 71-year-old Eat Bulaga host posted the photo on Instagram last night, just a few hours after It's Showtime's emotional tribute for Hashtag Franco Hernandez. He captioned it with: "Nuknukan ka ng katangahan pag sa DEAD SEA malunod ka pa!"

Fans have criticized the veteran host and comedian for being insensitive, since someone (Franco) has just died from drowning.

They also questioned the timing of De Leon's post, since he posted it on the same day as the tribute for Franco on Showtime, which happens to be the rival show of Eat Bulaga.

Upon checking at 3PM today, the photo can still be seen in De Leon's IG, but the caption has already been deleted, perhaps after realizing he made a mistake or after being flooded with negative comments.

Then 2 hours later, he made a new caption to it, which says it's a throwback pic, taken sometime in 2014. I also noticed that the comments for that particular picture have already been disabled.

Franco's fellow Hashtags members are aware of what JDL has posted. In fact, they made a reference to the "Dead Sea" at least twice while hosting Showtime Online today. "Parang gusto ko pumunta sa Dead Sea. Feeling ko kase masarap maligo dun, kase lulutang ka," Hashtag Luke Conde said.

Then, he was heard mentioning it again on the later part of their online show: "Dun sa Dead Sea, di kayo mag-si-sink."

Showtime host Teddy Corpuz and other Hashtags members made their reactions on the issue thru Twitter and they're obviously not pleased.
